Frequently Asked Questions

How does this calculator work?

We use real historical daily closing prices and actual dividend payments from our database. Shares are purchased at the closing price, and dividends are applied based on your share count on each ex-dividend date.

What does "reinvest dividends" mean?

When enabled, each dividend payment buys additional shares at the closing price on the ex-dividend date, compounding your returns. This simulates a DRIP (Dividend Reinvestment Plan).

Does this include taxes or fees?

No. This shows gross returns before taxes, brokerage fees, or commissions. Actual returns will be lower depending on your tax bracket and account type.

How accurate is this?

We use real historical data, but results may differ slightly from actual returns due to intraday price variations, fractional share handling, and exact dividend payment timing.
