High-Yield Dividend Stocks 2026
High-yield dividend stocks offer income well above the market average. This list features stocks yielding 4% or more that have paid dividends for at least 3 consecutive years. While high yields can sometimes signal trouble (a "yield trap"), the stocks on this list have demonstrated consistent payment histories.
Investors seeking high current income — particularly retirees living off their portfolio — often gravitate toward high-yield stocks. However, it's important to examine the underlying fundamentals. A very high yield can result from a falling stock price, which may indicate the market expects a dividend cut.
We filter out the most extreme yields (above 25%) to avoid obvious yield traps, and we require a minimum payment history to ensure some baseline reliability. Always examine payout ratios and earnings trends before investing in high-yield stocks.
